Types
There are basically 2 types of lenses that are available in the market
Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP)
During the development stages of contact lenses, the first type of lenses to be developed were the HARD CONTACT LENSES. As these were very uncomfortable to wear, RGP contact lenses were developed. These are very similar to the hard lenses but allowed for more comfort and oxygen permeability. These lenses take some getting used to, but are economical, have a long life (3 to 5 years) and are easy to maintain. They provide unbeatable quality of vision and durability.
